Scarborough Netball Club offers both competitive and social netball opportunities for players, umpires, and coaches. We proudly welcome girls aged 11 and up, across all skill levels and experience.

Our club is built on the values of:

  • Friendship

  • Community spirit

  • Teamwork

  • Respect – for players, umpires, coaches, volunteers and families alike

Our History

Scarborough Netball Club (originally the Scarborough Women’s Basketball Club) was founded in 1952 by three dedicated families – the Moncks, Limbs, and Dixons – with a mission to keep their daughters active in sport after finishing school.

  • Training began at Doubleview Primary School, and teams played at various venues across Perth.

  • In 1961, the opening of the Matthews Netball Centre in Floreat provided a central hub for competition.

  • In the early 1970s, the sport was officially renamed Netball, and so we became Scarborough Netball Club.

The club has since moved between venues, including Deanmore Road and Doubleview Primary School, before returning to Matthews Netball Centre in 2018, where we continue to train today.

Our Growth

From just a few teams, our club has flourished:

2018 – 24 teams (10 Senior, 9 Year 9–12, 5 Year 7–8)
2021 – 10 Senior and 12 Junior teams
2024 – Our biggest year yet!

  • 11 Senior teams

  • 8 Junior (Year 9–12) teams

  • 6 Junior (Year 7–8) teams

We are now one of the largest clubs at the Perth Netball Association
